Alkira Recognized in the Gartner 2020 Cool Vendors in Enhanced Internet Services and Cloud Connectivity Report

SAN JOSE, CA – Oct 1, 2020 – Alkira, Inc., the company reinventing the network for the cloud era, was named a Gartner 2020 Cool Vendor in Enhanced Internet Services and Cloud Connectivity.

Alkira Cloud Services Exchange™ (CSX) is the first and only Network Cloud, a global unified network platform delivered as-a-service with integrated network and security services, and full operational visibility and governance.

“Alkira is grateful to be named a Gartner Cool Vendor and sees its recognition as validation for its multi-cloud growth opportunity, the need for connectivity everywhere, simplified distributed cloud environments, and consistency and governance across workloads,” said Amir Khan, President, CEO and founder of Alkira. “Companies deserve a network on demand with integrated network and security service which is as agile as their cloud service.”

The Cool Vendor report released 22 September 2020 (ID G00721519) states that “Enterprise workload migration to the cloud is continuing and, in some cases, accelerating as a result of COVID-19.” It goes on to say that “Enterprises are increasingly leveraging Internet connectivity from branch locations to cloud resources to reduce cost, increase agility and minimize latency to improve performance,” and to “Simplify distributed cloud environments by leveraging multi- cloud networking solutions to ensure consistency and governance across workloads.”

The report also included “Increasingly, infrastructure can be anywhere so networking has to be able to connect everywhere. We see more use of the internet as a WAN option to reach workloads increasingly hosted in the cloud. Market awareness of multi cloud networking is increasing and infrastructure and operations leaders must focus on the networking aspects of connecting to these cloud workloads. The networking needs to be agile, automated, secure, cost-effective, simple and capable of ensuring application performance.”
