Alkira Selects Nissho Electronics as First Distributor in Japan for Network Cloud

Nissho Electronics Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Shinichi Teranishi, hereinafter referred to as Nissho Electronics) and Alkira, Inc. of Silicon Valley in  the United States, the developer of the Network Cloud,  announced on December 3 a business alliance and distribution agreement focused on Japan. The partnership with Nissho Electronics will strengthen and expand Alkira’s on-demand service offering to the Japanese market.

Alkira has developed the first and only Network Cloud. A Network Cloud  is  a global, unified  Cloud Network Infrastructure as-a-Service (CNaaS) with connectivity to and across clouds, with integrated network and services  like firewalls,  and full visibility and governance across the entire network. Alkira connects the network infrastructure of different public cloud services such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google GCP through its service portal with just a few clicks and enables enterprise companies to design and deploy it in minutes at half the cost of current systems. Alkira’s Network Cloud is a service which eliminates the need to build costly,  time-consuming, inflexible  hardware-based network infrastructure. Please see the Alkira Cloud Based Backbone as-a-Service announcement being announced today.

Alkira CEO and founder, Amir Khan, is the founder and former CEO of SD-WAN pioneer Viptela, which was acquired by Cisco in 2017. Nissho Electronics was also Viptela’s first distributor in Japan. Today’s announcement extends that relationship as Nissho plays an important role in expanding Alkira’s network Cloud offering into Japan.

Nissho Electronics is advancing the “2023 Growth Strategy” with an eye on what it should be in 2023. Under these circumstances, the company has set digital transformation as a key focus area and is taking on the challenge of partnership initiatives that take advantage of each of our strengths. In this alliance with Alkira, we will promote the realization of a service-type business model through co-creation of solutions, services, partners, and user companies, in addition to the agency-type business model at which we excel.

Nissho Electronics provides cutting-edge information and communication technology (ICT) such as networking, cloud, cybersecurity, IoT, and AI, as support for customers as they undergo the process of digital transformation.  Nissho is an “Innovation-Leading Company” that consistently focuses on cutting-edge fields for each generation of new technologies. Besides Alkira, Nissho is also partnered with  HP, Juniper Networks, Nutanix,VMware, Zoom, ZScaler and others.

Future development
The goal is to provide services to companies targeting the information system departments of companies considering the active use of public clouds and companies considering the use of multiple public clouds.

Amir Khan, CEO & Founder, Alkira, Inc.
“We are very pleased and proud to have entered into our first partnership in Japan with Nissho Electronics for the purpose of developing the Japanese market. Based on the relationship of trust from the Viptela era, we form a strong team to quickly increase our presence in the Japanese market.”

Toshiro Sakai, Managing Executive Officer, Nissho Electronics Corporation
We are very pleased to become Alkira’s first partner in Japan and to provide their network cloud offering. As the digital transformation of companies progresses, we as system integrators must continue to provide new value to the world. We are confident that Alkira is indispensable for the first step toward that end and can support the realization of “aggressive IT” for our customers.

The Network Needs To Be Part of Your AI Strategy

Enterprises are moving quickly on AI, but many are still running networking models designed for a slower, more centralized and static era.
